CATEGORY: operatorcategory powercategory location-category
Enter one selection in a space-delimited list for each of the three sub-categories from the
following:

  • Operator-category (SINGLE-OP / MULTI-ONE / MULTI-MULTI / SWL)
  • Power-category (HIGH / LOW / QRP)
  • Location-category (FIXED / MOBILE / EXPEDITION)

Reason:

For version 2.0 of Cabrillo in CATEGORY: field there is no such thing as SINGLEOP, MULTISINGLE or MULTIMULTI; The dashes are missing.

There is no MULTI-SINGLE; MULTI-ONE should be used.

VAQP has re-defined several Cabrillo 2.0 values which already exist in the Cabrillo Standard described at http://www.kkn.net/~trey/Cabrillo_v2/
Cabrillo is a standard and is, thus, the final word on attribute names and values.

The Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club (SPARC), the organizers of the Virginia QSO Party, have posted new Cabrillo formatting rules for logs. Features include:

  • Switch from v2.0 to v3.0 of the Cabrillo format
  • Corrections to previous Cabrillo errors reported earlier on this web site

We thank the organizers for the quick fix.

SPARC will continue to support the Cabrillo output from any well known logging program such as N3FJP.
